Esens' First Man's Signature Fragrance

Troubadour is the name that received the most votes by Esens customers from six finalists in November 2008, and it is the inaugural man's signature fragrance. Troubadour was submitted by Jimi Bernath of Denver, Colorado. Jimi describes himself as a poet, book seller and collector, leader of a community sing-a-long, father to Hannah and Rachel, and a reader for the dead and living.

cricket

hold luck in my ageing hand

feel it softly scrabble for the light

i am stronger but what do i command?

even a cricket in this grasping night

that i enclose with fingers uncertain

take it out to late september eve

toss it in still-lush grass and draw the curtain

between the symphony of chirps and what

   i believe

still, i'll keep you a moment longer

if i ease your panic, you'll grant me peace

sit there upon my open finger

then dive into the song that does not cease...
