Dear Friends and Customers,
Hello to each one of you as we enter a month symbolizing love.
This
past weekend, my son and I traveled to Puerto Penasco (AKA Rocky Point)
in Mexico. It was our first time there and it was glorious. For two
days, we communed with the wind and the water in the part of town known
as Old Port. After three years of desert living and six months since my
last break, my skin immediately plumped up in the moist air and I
became rejuvenated. We feasted on the local fare and enjoyed the
organic community of sounds, smells and activities. If I could bottle
the sound of the water, I
wonder, what would it smell like? I would take my precious bottle with
me wherever I go so I could reconnect to my essence whenever I needed a
touchstone and reground myself in appreciation of all that is good.

Valentine's Day Special
With
each custom fragrance and/or gift certificate order through February
29th, you will receive a two-ounce body mist of Rose essence oil. Rose
is the essence of love in all
of its forms, both romantic and agape. Inhaling it infuses you with a
sense of well-being not only for yourself but with a wish for everyone
to be happy and content.

Kathleen's upcoming events
The
next couple months I will be participating in several exciting events
and features. If you reside in Arizona or are planning a trip here, it
would be wonderful to visit with you.
February 1: 520 Living Magazine
Esens Custom Fragrances will be a featured service in the inaugural
edition of this fabulous magazine that is about "Living the Good Life
in the 520". Check back on the website or contact me directly to find
out where you can get your copy of this long-anticipated magazine of
class and style.
February 1: Tucson Young Professionals
Networking Event, 9pm-1am at the Tucson Museum of Art. I will be
creating custom fragrances in the moment at this hip, "upscale
environment for Tucson locals of all ages to socialize and promote
local artists and businesses."
February 10: Global Arts Gallery
in gorgeous Patagonia is hosting a "Luv-a-Thon and Lucky 13th
Anniversary," 12pm-5pm. Esens Custom Fragrances will be creating
fragrances during this "Day of Love" event. Join me and other vendors
for food, drink and art designed to elevate, stimulate and vibrate your
"global love" awareness. A portion of the proceeds will go a Tucson
youth group that promotes global understanding.
March 20: Girl's Night Out Shopping Extravaganza
held at the exotic Loews Ventana Canyon Resort and Spa is the premier
"shop until you drop" experience, 2pm-9pm. I will have a booth at this
event in which a portion of the proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the
Cure, a non-profit organization whose goal is to eradicate breast
cancer.

A final note on the topic of self-love: I highly recommend you read Elizabeth Gilbert's book called Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia.
This is a true chronicle of Gilbert's year-long journey split up into
4-month increments in three different countries. Her writing is
hysterical, self-deprecating, and poignant. It is a book about
pleasure, insight and finding balance. I can't tell you how many pages
I had to put the book down because I was laughing too hard to see the
text. You will love it and perhaps yourself a bit more after treating yourself to this delightful read.
