Happy June (AKA SUMMER!!!) Friends and Customers,
I
hope this finds you well and happy. It's hot most day's here in
Tucson, with the temperature gage going over 100 degrees often. Our
air conditioner broke this weekend, so my son and I went off to the
latest Pirates movie to escape the 90+ temperature in our little
house. Now THAT was fun!
Happy Father's Day to all of you
Dads! After all these years, I finally learned how Father's Day
began. Perhaps you don't know either so I will share what I found
out: Like many traditions, I learned that there are multiple reported
origins on honoring Father's Day. One of the first celebrations was
held in July 1908 in West Virginia to honor the lives of men who were
killed in a mine explosion.
One of the most understood origins
began with a young lady named Sonora Dodd whose dad became a single
father following the death of his wife during the birth of their 6th
child. Sonora was very aware of all the sacrifices her father had made
and she wanted to find a way to honor him. Since she was born in June,
she held the first Father's Day on 06/19/1910. President Coolidge
supported this idea and a proclamation to celebrate Father's Day was
created by President Lyndon Johnson in 1966. President Nixon signed it
into law in 1972 so that Father's Day was celebrated on the 3rd Sunday
in June each year.
So there you have it! Thank you father's of
all sorts (birth, step, adopted, foster, coaches, instructors,
inventors, etc) for everything you do to make this world a better
place of peace, dignity, responsibility and intregity.

If you encounter an email gremlin...
just call me.
Occasionally, it comes to my attention that when I respond to someone's
email, they did not receive it. Sometimes a provider might think that
one of us is spam and none of us take too kindly to that. In short, I
want you to know that I am very good at returning emails, most often on
the day I receive them and certainly within 24 hours. If you do not
receive a response from me, please always call me directly so that I
know you want to communicate with me. My service is personal and I am
accessible. When you call, I am the one who answers the phone. My
number for your records is: (520) 245-6711.

Esens Now Has a MySpace Site
I
have now joined the ranks of million while remaining one in a million
(as we all are, eh?) I officially have a MySpace page and hereby
invite you to visit it and send me a friend request. I joined MySpace
(it's free by the way) as another means to show my photography and
connect with other like-minded folks. I also occasionally upload some
poetry I've done over the years.
I currently have 10 photo
albums up covering various events, musicians, children and photo shoots
and I am adding more each week. The albums can be found under the
"Pics" link which is directly below the image of me. If you have a
MySpace account, I would love to visit with you there. If you don't,
please sign up!

I
am always seeking things that inspire me and keep me focused on my
goals and wishes. I will close this email with a quote by Stedman
Graham which I recently received:
Having a vision for your life allows you to live out of hope, rather than out of your fears.
We
all have "our little red wagon" of challenges to pull in our lives.
May whatever your vision is for your life over-rule the site of your
"wagon", and fill you with inspiration, hope and joy that in turn, you
can spread to everyone else you encounter.
Until next month,
